Hello Cliff,

I enjoy you site very much. I was reading you letters section today and I found out that you were born in 1956 and that you were adopted.

I just wanted to say that through all your adversity you have a great grasp of life and what it is. My wife and I are both atheists (as in "no belief in gods, no proof of existence").

I also just wanted to say that I was also born in 1956 and was adopted when I was 9 (from a Baptist Orphans home) my parents were very religious and I was raised the same way. Well 3 years ago I decided to read the bible (I never really read it before) and I got very upset at what I had thought to be a loving god, could be so horendous.

In the bible that I was reading there were all these footnotes about different versions and languages that I decided to research them. To say the least I was very disolusioned by what I found and to top it all off I did research on mythology and found them to be so incredibly familiar with what the stories in bible read that I could no longer believe any of the myths of the bible.

Sorry to make this so long, but I also wanted to know were you born, becouse I was born in West Palm Beach Fl.

Any way thanks for you site, I have shown it to alot of people who are themselves question their religion.

Thanks for your letter. I will post it both in the Letters section and among the de-conversion stories.

I was born at 2223 on November 23, 1956, in Marin County, California -- or so the documents state. My name on the original record was Baby Boy Main.

And yes, I have discussed with Robert Anton Wilson the incidence of the number 23 in my birthdate and time.
