Hello, I came across your web site....I am a former fundamentalist Baptist. I agree about Religion. I have given up on the church...mainly because of their judgmental and unloving ways.They are money mongers, after the money of unlearned people!!!! also I feel that politics and religion do not belong together. also the church looks down on women as not being equal..,.and they teach the Law, the ten commandments. .... when they were not written for us, but rather to the Jewish Nation....The Jewish Nation was a "schoolmaster" to bring the rest of God's children to an understanding of Christ, they showed that no matter how close one could get to keeping Holy, Man cant do it on his own....!!! But don't they try?????...... We aren't under the Law but under Grace. In the beginning ....There was God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit...Also there was Lucifer. In the first few verses of Genesis.....God created..............through Christ...He created! then the Holy Spirit was over the Waters................now go back a bit......God decided to create Man and Woman.....He did not create them with free will. He did not create them perfect. Yes It was in his design to have them learn the hard way ...about sin not being in their best interest. He knew that this way it would be proven. If something isn't proven it is just theory. Also they would ," we would "understand the depth of His love."....He was not passive in this. He was prepared to die to prove his love. thus it would be necessary to create evil. Lucifer , steped forward to volunteer, to become the exact opposite of God. His name was changed to Satan.The church would have us to believe that ol Devil , just pulled a fast one....yeah right!No It was in God's plan for him to RESIST GOD&lt;. He and other angels ........were hurled to earth...there was "chaos.." THe world was in darkeness , and without shape or form.....THis happening after God had created light! Satan was doing his best!!! But his power is nil outside the power that God has given him. Someday ,God will win against Satan....and that part of Lucifer, which has been redeemed by Christ will be separated from Satan and all the evil and sin in the world will be cast away forever ___Not People... but the sin and wickedness that has caused all the pain and heartache, and death will be be NO more!!! , all that which is vile and evil will be cast into Darkness.....For the most part the church is not aware of The Redemption of all mankind forver and ever.They foolishly tell people they have to do this or that ...to be redeemed !!! as if Man could do this himself!..They teach a hell that doesn't exist.The word Hell is used as a word meaning death...They mis interpret...God's Word mostly because they are in error in translating....They think God is angry...They don't believe that God had Jesus pay the penalty...and all creation has been redeemed.....Yes we were programed with Sin Nature, from the Beginning...but we will someday enjoy life as God knows it ...We will understand ..as he does. Blessed is the Man who even when he sins .....God doesn't hold it against him......We are in the age of Grace...Jesus was the sacrifice...He volunteered to lay down his life.....Lucifer volunteered to become sin.......THe Holy Spirit was programed to be perfect....to be the comforter...... God is a God of Order. everything is under control and going as he planned.... I have been learning in an orderly way.....The sufferings of this time cannot be compared to the Glory which will be revealed......God promises to someday put an end to suffering! and this is the best part .......give every soul no matter what they believe, all the desires of the heart!!!!!

This is very hard to follow, in part because it is based upon the presupposition that the Bible should be taken seriously.
I have yet to find a good reason to believe the Bible.
I do appreciate your sentiments on organized religion and separation of state and church, though.

I can understand your viewpoint. but there are more viewpoints.....and I like to think that wisdom can be attained by experience...that we are created by a force out side of our selves. is easily understood ,. In basic scientific understanding, we cant say...body you do not need to breath! There are basic scientific facts that can be obtained , in the Word....without light we are in darkness, and we stumble about...But I call your attention to the fact that we can see our Creator in Nature....I am guessing you enjoy nature a great deal.....God, has mapped out much to be learned about ourselves in nature.. .The American Indians ...had no Bible...until stupid Missionaries forced ...their ways on them! I am saying........There are ways to be illuminated , other then by means of religion and the Bible. It is fascinating to view life through the prism of creation.and to be open-minded to the beliefs of others.....Ps. I enjoyed your enclosed quotes.....
