Coach Resigns to Form Religious Group
A former Ohio football coach who was named in
a suit by the American Civil Liberties Union for leading players in prayer
has announced that he will be leaving the community in order to establish
a new ministry. The new organization will be called "Pass the Salt
Ministries" and will enable the coach to confront "the moral
collapse of our culture." According to school officials, the case
was settled in October and all parties concerned were cleared of any wrongdoing.

Daylight Savings Time Interferes With Marital Relations?
In the heat of a battle in the Mexican legislature
over adopting daylight savings time, opponent Sen. Felix Salgado put forth
his strongest argument: Advancing the clocks an hour will reduce daylight
time in the morning, curtailing many "mananeros," or couples'
morning sex. "(N)ow when you wake up," said Salgado, "your
partner is no longer there because she had to take the kids to school."

Years ago, a U.S. Senator opposed day light savings time as he feared the complaints of housewives who would tell of their curtains fading prematurely from the extra hour of sun light.
