Question for "March, Janice": Where was her rescuing, comforting god when a man in our state stole his three year old son out of his bed at his grandparents at 3 AM and proceeded to tie him with duct tape, place him in a plastic trash bag, and tie him to a tree in the middle of the woods? Can you even begin to imagine the terror this child felt? Three years old? Later, after a search, the father confessed when the child was found dead. He said he'd heard his son crying as he walked away and left him there. He did it to make his girlfriend feel sorry for him. This has haunted me and given me nightmares even though I don't even know these people. Comforting, rescuing god? If anyone needed that, this child did. As for that "father," I'd like to see him bound and left to the same tree. Let the punishment fit the crime. Loving, comforting, rescuing; I need more proof, so far the odds are against it.
