Jesus should have expected fruit on the fig tree even though it was early Spring because there were leaves on the fig tree -- which do not occur until after the fruit has grown.

Which biology books have you been reading that tell you that any tree can produce fruit with complex sugars and DNA-containing seeds without first spending several weeks or months receiving energy from the Sun through its leaves? Please refer me to a text which teaches that this is even possible.
Also, why does Mark use "it was not the season for figs" as his explanation for why there were no figs on the tree? Why would even a moron go looking for figs when it is not fig season, regardless of what your biology books (don't) tell you?
