How can Christians possibly trust their god for St. Paul informs us in II Thessalonians 2: 11-12 that "God shall send them a strong delusion ... that they should believe a lie."
How do we know that Christian belief and dogma -- including the Bible itself is are not delusions and a lies to boot.
It would appear that the god of Christianity is a self-confessed liar having allegedly put those words into the mouth of the true founder of Christianity.
