Dear Cliff,
I respond to Elena's letter.
Indeed you are right Elena about Philippine history that you shared to us. Of course I know these things, we have studied them when I was a kid. Yes, the Philippines was Christianized by the Spaniards and followed up by the Americans. Indeed God has a purpose for these things. As it has been said in the Bible Matt. 24:14 ; Acts 1:8 that Gospel is going to be preached in the whole world.
But the devil is always at work here in this world. As you have known the devil started to deceive Eve and Adam when the world was formed Genesis 3. He even tried to deceive Jesus but failed in the book of Matthew chapter 3. But Jesus reminded us Christians to watch out for false prophets in Matt. 7:15-23. But in the end Jesus will punish people that has sinned against him and against man. In Matt. 13:36-43. I just hope you look these up in the Bible so you would come to realize the truth. And the truth shall set you free.
