Cliff,
I would like to agree with you about how religion will lose some hold on our American citizens from this so called "New War" but cannot. I think there are many folk who just follow the herd with most numbers. Most believe in something far greater than themselves and truly believe they need a father figure to keep them on the straight and narrow. Myself, I've been ten thousand times a better man once I believed I must stand on my own two feet against whatever life tosses my way. But I lived through so much hell in war I was somehow forced there to open my eyes and see reality. Few do this act of viewing reality -- I fear. But I will give you credit where it's due.
These fundamentalist Muslims might dent a few people's religious armor. I hope you're right.
