The Gloves Are Off
But The Fight's
I can't speak for others, indeed I usually find myself at odds with others' opinions. Even when I agree on a position, I often find that I have different reasons for being there.
I find your letters section particularly stimulating. I don't go there to read opinions that are like mine. I go there to find opinions and positions that different from mine.
When something I read makes me uncomfortable, it tells me I need to look at my own values more closely. Either I change my mind or I am able to clarify to myself why I have a particular value. Regardless, I become a better person.
I've never felt uncomfortable hitting reply to one of your dispatches or a posted letter. I know that I'll get honest, unbiased feedback on my thoughts.
The gloves are always off at Positive Atheism, but it's always a clean fight.
