The Most Cynical
Interpretation Of The Bible
I'm an Atheist and I'm interested in finding a book that interprets the bible in a more cynical way.
For example, Jesus feeds the 5000 -- what could have happened is 2000 people came to hear Jesus. Half had no food, Jesus said share your food with your neighbor -- so everyone will have something to eat.
Therefore Jesus did feed the 2000 (exaggerated to 5000), etc.
Do you know where I can find such a book?

I'm not sure what you mean by "cynical," but the most truly cynical way I can think of to interpret the Bible is the way the Evangelicals and Fundamentalists interpret it: by taking it at face value and believing it to be de facto true.
