Hey,
You get a lot of really hateful and despicable e-mails but you keep going, I respect that. Don't take this site down ever! The world is becoming an increasingly dangerous place because of lunatics claiming their version of "God" is better then someone else's. So much more that they feel a need to kill because of it. I'm not afraid of God, but I am afraid of some of His followers.
What I really love is how the fundamentalists talk about their humility and then tell us about how they are superior because of they have the Holy Ghost or whatever. Pride in your humility is such a great concept. Stupid, but entertaining. I especially liked the letter in which one of theists said that theists talking to you is really the infinite God's way of communication with an atheist. Yeah, we're a real bunch of arrogant bastards.But what really makes me laugh is how fundamentalists say that somehow we are the ones oppressing them. Its both hilarious and frightening at the same time. Apparently the "Lib'ral Media" is far more frightening than either the Witch burnings or the Crusades. We may disagree with these people, but we never have never launched a terrorist attack on a church. We're a mere 14 percent of the population, which means if they really got it in their heads to massacre us -- like deep down a number of them want to -- they could. But they seem to be afraid of us despite their numbers, or their current control of the government, or the backing of the "Living God." Its as funny as watching Republican manly men like Dubya running scared of a bunch of Frisco gay men whom they regard as limp-wristed sissies, so scared that they need an amendment to discriminate against their private relationships.
And don't let anyone tell you that atheists are all miserable. I was the most born-again Christian you could have ever met at one point, and I was beyond miserable from having to keep a watch out for "demons" and "sin" all the time. I did not know inner peace until I discovered science and logic. Thanks for atheism I have self esteem now.
