Osama bin Laden
I'm fighting so I can die a martyr and go to heaven to meet God. Our fight now is against the Americans.
The battle has been moved inside America, and we shall continue until we win this battle, or die in the cause and meet our maker.
Bush and Blair ... don't understand any language but the language of force. Every time they kill us, we kill them, so the balance of terror is achieved.
Issue a call to the young generation to get ready for the holy war and to prepare for that in Afghanistan because jihad in this time of crisis for Muslims is an obligation of all Muslims.
Here is America struck by God Almighty ... so that its greatest buildings are destroyed ... I swear to God that America will not live in peace before peace reigns in Palestine, and before the army of the infidels depart the land of Mohammed.
[The damage in New York was] greater than expected.
I don't regret what happened there.
If the instigation for jihad [holy war] against the Jews and the Americans ... is considered a crime, then let history be a witness that I am a criminal.
It is what we instigated for a while, in self-defence ... So if avenging the killing of our people is terrorism, let history be a witness that we are terrorists.
These events have split the whole world into two camps: the camp of belief and the camp of disbelief.... There is only one God, and I declare that there is no prophet but Muhammad.
Tell the Muslims everywhere that the vanguards of the warriors who are fighting the enemies of Islam belong to them and the young fighters are their sons. Tell them that the nation is bent on fighting the enemies of Islam. Once again, I have to stress the necessity of focusing on the Americans and the Jews for they represent the spearhead with which the members of our religion have been slaughtered. Any effort directed against America and the Jews yields positive and direct results -- Allah willing. It is far better for anyone to kill a single American soldier than to squander his efforts on other activities.
Our job is to instigate, and by the grace of God, we did that, and certain people responded to this instigation.
They [the United States] violate our land and occupy it and steal the Muslims' possessions, and when faced by resistance they call it terrorism.
I have high regard and respect for those men who erased the disgrace from the forehead of our nation.
Bureau Chief: Bin Laden Thanks Allah
"Osama bin Laden thanked All mighty Allah and bowed before him when he heard this news."
Editor: Warned of Unprecedented Attack
"They said it would be a huge and unprecedented attack but they did not specify. [The callers had made similar threats previously], but this time it seems his people were accurate and meant every word they said."
Politicians who do not use the Bible to guide their public and private lives do not

If the biblical account of creation in Genesis isn't
true, how can we trust the rest of the Bible?
Rev Tim LaHaye (b. 1928)
Writer of Christian doomsday fiction; graduate of ultrafundamentalist Bob Jones University; founding member of the “young Earth” Institute for Creation Research; cofounder with Jerry Falwell of Moral Majority; author of slanderous books and tracts denouncing "Secular Humanism"; founder of American Coalition for Traditional Values; advocate of ancient occult typology known as "four temperaments"
I'll tell you what is wrong with America. We don't have enough of God's ministers running the country.
Why not admit that the words "separation" and "church" do not even appear in the US Constitution," he added. "Instead, they do appear in Article 52 of the Constitution of the Soviet Union.
Most of all, I believe God has chosen to bless this series. In doing so, he's giving the country and maybe the world, one last, big wake-up call before the events transpire.
A major contributor to the present-day tendency to accept and encourage homosexuality is Dr. Sigmund Freud.
In other words, homosexuality was no longer to be considered an illegal form of debauchery or perversion in which one willingly engaged a person of his own sex, but a "mental illness" which one blamed on his mother. Consequently, a homosexual is not responsible for his behavior -- it's his mother's fault!
As important as the father is in the life of a child, even he must take second place to mother during the first three years of life.... Consequently, mothers actually have more to do with producing a predisposition toward homosexuality than fathers. Two kinds of mothers are particularly harmful -- smother mothers and dominating mothers.
I always tell my critics that if they don't like this theory for helping people -- come up with a better one and I'll use it.
[The Freedom Writer] is full of disinformation ... typical of left-wing journals like yours, you print anything you can find that is derogatory to those with whom you disagree -- without checking the facts.
We really have dinosaurs today, without any question. You just need the right weather conditions, as I see it, to get huge creatures. And in the ocean, of course, we have huge creatures.... this is where the plesiosauruses seem to be today, and perhaps also this fire breathing dragon is still down there -- very rare, but occasionally there.
We really have no choice but to pray and encourage a return to an America steeped in Judeo-Christian values. It is either that or taking our chances in a society with no values at all. For all Americans the former carries certain risks, but the latter spells certain doom. For now, we should not be deflected by theological debate from the life-saving tasks awaiting us. There is work to be done. We must ensure that America will continue to be part of God's plan for the world.
Turning the tide will take resolve, courage, and faith. It will take cooperation among those of us who, despite theological differences, recognize that America exists only by Providence. We must follow the example of our founders who forged a union by focusing on areas of common concern, rather than on areas of major dissent. If we allow religious differences to stop us from working together politically, we will not be able to resist the advance of secular humanism. As long as people share the same moral vision for America's public square, it is less important whether that vision is fueled by Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Mormon, Buddhist, or Moslem faith. We must not allow secularism's high priests to separate us from one another on the basis of material distinctions such as skin color, gender, or bank account. We should acknowledge only differences based on spiritual or data differences. One set of data is a three-thousand-year-old system that produced ancient Israel and modern America. The other leads to secular humanism, atheism, socialism and communism. And therein lies our tug-of-war.
Yes, as individuals we may each choose our path from a bewildering array of choices and we each must live with the consequences of that choice. As a nation however, we must choose a national doctrine from the only two available. In other words, as a nation we either subscribe to Judeo-Christian principles in public policy or we must subscribe to the public policies of secular atheism. Thirty-plus years of experience tells us that our choice may be between a society filled with wasted human potential, crack babies and criminal predators, while elevating the separation of church and state to the status of Holy Writ, or a
society in which that separation is understood as our founding fathers understood it, acknowledging a Creator and the primacy of religion without establishing a national church.
As an Orthodox Jew I must acknowledge that a society can only be successful if it adheres to God's basic plan. By recognizing that a battle is raging and that, right now, Christian conservatives are leading the side I believe is morally, historically, and intellectually correct, I find myself linking arms with those so many of my coreligionists vilify.
I did not, as a matter of policy, in 1984, '85, '86, '87, '88, '89, '90, '91, '92, '93, '94, '95, '96, '97, '98, '99, 2000, 2001, go to parishes on the occasion of dealing with a priest against whom an allegation of sexual abuse of a child had been made. I see now that that should have been done, but we did not do that. Did I think that I should have informed the parish and then not done it? No. I simply didn't have that as part of our response to these cases.
Rev James LeBar
Official Roman Catholic Exorcist (demon caster-outer) appointed by the late New York Cardinal John O'Connor
As people lose their respect and reverence for life, spirituality and human beings, the devil can move in. He can attack them by possessing them, and rendering them helpless.
Atheists are the true criminals of society.
The best way to understand atheism is to understand its author. Satan is its
When you take into account what the so-called "educated" people don't know
that's essential to know, and compare it with the vain "education" they do
have, it becomes clear that they are quite dumb.
What is the use of higher learning, critical thinking and educational skills
when they do not enable you to know God?
Raising your children under americanism or any other principles other than
true Christianity is child abuse.
One of the greatest reasons why the world is getting more evil is that it
continually resists and suppresses God's righteousness.
You do not have the right to be wrong, regardless of what any man-made or
demonic charter says.
He who can look at the most prized, honored and exalted things of the world,
and see them as being rubbish is a very learned and fortunate person.
Atheism is the ultimate of satanism. Ask satan does God exist and he will
deny it. Ask him does satan exist and he will deny his own existence even
while in your presence. Atheism holds the Bible in one hand, but deny that it
exists with the other.
ATHEISM IS WORTHLESS
Since atheists rejects the overwhelming evidence, we see proof that atheism
is a deliberate rejection of the evidence and His existence. This clearly
proves that atheism is not about proof and evidence, but is about rejecting
the fundamental principles of life. Atheism's chief purpose of existence is
to deny the existence of God in the midst of overwhelming proof. No atheist
will admit these facts. But again, this is the nature of satanic atheism: to
refuse to admit the truth.
What profit has not that fable of Christ brought us!
Pope Leo XIII (1810-1903)
Roman Catholic Pope from 1878 to 1903, who wrote the first modern papal statement on social and economic theory
The death sentence is a necessary and efficacious means for the Church to attain its end when rebels act against it and disturbers of the ecclesiastical unity, especially obstinate heretics and heresiarchs, cannot be restrained by any other penalty from continuing to derange the ecclesiastical order and impelling others to all sorts of crime ... When the perversity of one or several is calculated to bring about the ruin of many of its children it is bound effectively to remove it, in such wise that if there be no other remedy for saving its people it can and must put these wicked men to death.
All Catholics must make themselves felt as active elements in daily political life in the countries where they live. They must penetrate, wherever possible, in the administration of civil affairs; must constantly exert the utmost vigilance and energy to prevent the usages of liberty from going beyond the limits fixed by God's law. All Catholics should do all in their power to cause the constitutions of states and legislation to be modeled on the principles of the true Church.
The Church amongst you, unopposed by the Constitution and government of your nation, fettered by no hostile legislation, protected against violence by the common laws and the impartiality of the tribunals, is free to live and act without hindrance. Yet, through all this is true, it would be very erroneous to draw the conclusion that in America is to be sought the type of the most desirable status of the church, or that it would be universally lawful or expedient for state and church to be, as in America, dissevered and divorced. The fact that Catholicity with you is in good condition, nay, is even enjoying a prosperous growth, is by all means to be attributed to the fecundity with which God has endowed His Church.... But she would bring forth more abundant fruits if, in addition to liberty, she enjoyed the favor of the laws and patronage of the public authority.
If unbridled licence of speech and writing be granted to all, nothing will remain sacred and inviolate; even the highest and truest mandates of nature, justly held to be the common and noblest heritage of the human race, will not be spared. Thus, truth being gradually obscured by darkness, pernicious and manifold error, as too often happens, will easily prevail.
Because religious institutions are not afraid to talk about love as a goal, they are likely to be more effective at providing community services.
The whole scheme of things In Israel revolved around the idea of a personal God. The first leaders of the Jews saw that it would never do to attempt to create a national solidarity without the establishment of a fixed authority ... So, those first leaders of Israel did the wisest thing ever done by any group of men aspiring to bring forth a nation: they invested all authority in God. They took neither responsibility nor credit for themselves.... They were simply his mouthpieces and his agents.
One day in seven, the Sabbath was made holy unto God and set aside solely for his worship (in ancient Israel). There was no choice about it. In those first days there was no such thing as religious liberty in Israel. A man had to go to worship whether he liked it or not. The fact that he didn't like the priests didn't matter ... The excuse that he was intellectually superior to the congregation of Israel didn't work ... Religious liberty was given no thought in Israel. I sometimes wonder if it isn't given too much thought in our own America.
US Senator, Vice-Presidential candidate (2000)
The Constitution promises freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. We are, after all not just another nation, but "one nation under God."
We know that the Constitution wisely separates church from state, but remember: the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.
I miss the days when faith was discussed in public and not the most intimate details of our personal lives.
[We shouldn't] indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion.
Let us break through some of the inhibitions that have existed to talk together across the flimsy lines of separation of faith, to talk together, to study together, to pray together, and ultimately to sing together His Holy name.
We cannot fulfill that purpose [environmentalism] if we are heaping contempt on God's creation.
[Religion is a way of reconstructing] what has come to feel like a crumbling moral framework in the life of our nation.
John Adams, second president of the United States, wrote that our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.... George Washington warned us never to indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion.
[People of faith must] reassure them [atheists] that we share with them the core values of America, that our faith is not inconsistent with their freedom and our mission is not one of intolerance, but one of love.... I stand before you today as a witness to the goodness of God. For me, like you and like my running mate Al Gore, faith provided a foundation, order and purpose in my life.
While so much of our economic life is thriving, too much of our moral life is still stagnating. As a people, we need to reaffirm our faith.
Martin Luther (1483-1546)

Every doer of the law and every moral worker is accursed, for he walketh in the presumption of his own righteousness.
Sacred scripture tells us that Joshua commanded the sun to stand still, and not the earth.
If men only believe enough in Christ they can commit adultery and murder a thousand times a day without periling their salvation.
Martin Luther, after admonishing Philip of Hesse to tell a "good stout lie," defends his advice in the following words:
